But they still grow on the founder's grave and sometimes you gain it in battles

Actually, yes. This is exactly how you do it. Spawn in a Level 1 mage, then send them to their solo doom to the Underschool. New mages will die in one fight. Then bury them and harvest, lol.

I can imagine the communication between School and Parents. You summon a kid, kill them the first time you can, and send the letter.

"Dear Respected Parents,
It is my sad duty to tell you that your spawn, <Insert Name Here>, have died by heroicly fighting the Burrower Larva Rematch. But don't worry, they went by doing the things they loved: generating more Hallowlily for the school.
If you have any more spawns we could sacrifice, we are happy to negotiate!

I usually send groups of expendable students on missions. The survivors earned their graduation.

Yeah... I didn't have a problem cause I did a rush start and killed half the school. definitely recommend that
