Won't let me name my first attack (stuck ina loop)

At the introduction to combat with groucho, when you get the option to name the first attack.
I do, buddy says he doesn't know what that means,
then asks if that is what i want to name the attack.
nothing happens if i hit "enter" or "space" the test box opens up again, and no matter what i type the same thing occurs...
any idea?

i've reset the scene using Rshift + home key. i've shut down and restart, and it still doesn't work.
everytime i do this my health keeps dropping on top of that.

It is not a bug. All you need to do is to type "yes" when Buddy asks for your confirmation, because from this point you will confirm your actions with typing yes/no in the text field (dialog window). For example, when you need to use a boat Buddy will ask you if you want to cross the pond, then you should type yes/no depending on what action you are willing to take. Same principle applies to the situation with naming your first attack.

Oh geez, thank you so much!! I ran into the exact same thing on the Switch and was scared I'd softlocked. Outside of the DOS style part of the game, all the confirmations so far had been just yes/no boxes, so it never crossed my mind I was supposed to type out my answer.

I've got another one. Adding The Band as a party member freezes the game. Also leaving the 3D house led to my buddy saying "You're going to love this!" and then...freezing (which I did not love lol)
