[Spoilers] Stuck in ending 3
Spoiler warning because it deals with an ending.

My game is getting stuck during ending 3. I'm in the 3D section where the various characters come in and the house gets increasingly glitchy. After Toot comes in and asks me to put a hand over the hole in his barrel, I get to the next knock on the door where buddy says something like "More quests!". But here, I suddenly lose the ability to move and the door knocking starts to go continuously.

I waited for quite a while and tried pushing every button I could think of and it just stays there. I had to find a video of the ending to make sure this wasn't what was supposed to be happening, but it looks like Scroobert is supposed to show up next. Is this a known issue? I had to force quit the game and the same thing happened a second time.

Oh gosh!!! I wonder if our new update broke something... our coder is going to take a look sometime when he gets home tonight since that's very odd. I'm very very sorry about this aaaaah

To clarify, the mouse and keyboard controls to look around are still functional, and on the second try I was still close enough to Toot that I was able to continue to interact with him and trigger his “Thank you” message repeatedly. But movement controls didn’t work.
Thanks for looking into this!

Update: I got through the ending, but I'm not sure how.

In case it means anything to the devs or anyone else who runs into this: I tried this again tonight and hit the same issue with the door knocking continuously and not being able to move, and I alt-tabbed and opened up Task Manager. The game wasn't appearing in the simple view as a running app, but when I went to the detailed processes list I saw two processes running Buddy Simulator 1984, where one of them had something that was described as some kind of crash handling process associated with it. Coincidentally, I tabbed back over to the game, and the hand icon was back, allowing me to open the door, encounter Scroobert, and from there complete the ending. I don't know if tabbing out actually solved the issue or if it was just a coincidence, but there it is.

I also noticed that the same sort of thing where the game takes away your ability to move happens when you answer the door and get the initial dialog from each character, so my guess is that something is flagging this to happen at the wrong time.

Thanks for your updates, and I'm so glad you made it to the end!! We've been struggling to recreate this bug on our end but we'll definitely keep an eye out. You rock for keeping this forum updated :)

Hope you figure it out! I’m off to go for ending 1 to complete the set.

Also kudos on the ending itself. I knew basically what was coming, but I still felt a panicked adrenaline rush during the chase sequence.
