Have you beaten it? I'm specifically asking for organic commentary from users, not official stances.
This is an excellent first outing for the developer, but if you're only going to play it once/have the time to sit down and finish it, then I'd check it out over on Gamepass.
I don't mess with gamepass, I'd rather just give the dev money. I'll probably check it out, looks nice. Thanks
If you're looking for a charming story, I think it's very much worth it. If you're more into gameplay/mechanics, then better look elsewhere.
Don't add sentiments to my post with your "either" that weren't contained in my post originally, thanks. I don't really tribalize over game companies. Anyway.
I can only speak for myself here, but I enjoyed playing the game and have no regret for the time I spent playing, or the cost of the purchase.
I would go further to say that I personally think that making the game longer would have risked ruining the pacing of the story. I certainly would not have wanted to see 50 hours of tedious mini-games and pointless exploration that added nothing to the narrative, which sadly seems to be how many modern games achieve their play times.
TLDR: Longer isn't always better.
Which is not a bad thing for it to be, but is a good thing to be aware that it is.
