Even with drones, it was fun because it didn't work well, so all that appeared were drones, hundreds, thousands of them, it was like stepping on an anthill.
They're not particularly difficult, but like piranhas, these dwarves became quite chaotic.
The same thing happened with warriors. There's supposedly a mutator for each insect (although back then it was literally just the mutator's insect).
There were hundreds of drones, or grenadiers, haha.
It's an interesting idea though, I do miss the earlier days of the game when it felt more like the first movie. The only problem is people would complain like crazy if they were forced into using a certain loadout via mutator. After all that's part of the reason they removed the random loadout mutator.
I could see it working as a limited time mode. Fixed loadouts, no class abilities or passives, time period accurate Bugs. Could even have one based on the 2nd movie with EP weapons only and constant storms.
