can we get friendly fire removed plox
theres almost no need for it in the first place in a co operative game. And the biggest reason is people team killing. specifically asians and operators. operators will literally stand there team killing the same person over and over again to cheese their end game score on revives and the asians that infest US west servers do it cuz who knows why. either way its making playing unenjoyable when youre suddenly picked to be the guy the person wants to team kill for e peen growth.

After playing this for a few hours, i went and viewed the movie.

FF was, where the movie started.
It's an important tool to naturally keep people in line,
If you don't have Friendly fire, nothing's stopping people from bunching up in high-bug areas and making it impossible to really contribute. Let's also not forget the importance of keeping griefing players in check via a red hot barrel.
Immersion and source material aside, Friendly fire is incredibly important in coop shooters as it really makes your fellow player have a presence on the field.
I like friendly fire.

I actually wish to see friendly fire doing more damage, Instakill to be precise, that would force people to shoot and move more tactically, guard their area instead of shooting all in the same direction. It's a coop game, everything that pushes toward better teamplay should be encouraged not removed, even the movie has a scene that points out the danger of friendly fire.

100% only way to move forward is to keep FF and/or increase FF damage in the long run. If a player runs into active fire... I would like to remind some people that it is not the fault of other people that they run into gunfire.

it wouldnt tho thats the issue and in the long run would more then likely push players not to play the game due to idiots killing them on purpose which ive seen a good amount of team killing for "fun" already you add 100% FF and you will never win a match simple as that with the steam playerbase

You should just be instanly kicked for teamkilling if you did %50 of the dmg we dont need a FF increase your asking for trolls we already have idiots taking walls down letting the bugs in to ruin the game

There is always an idiot in every single village, that doesn't mean that the everyone is stupid. I played over 20 hrs and aside from the people who are clearly new and don't get that BLUE must be done before YELLOW, I didn't see particular issues. There is always the guy that lets you bleed without pressing F while stepping right on your body, the one that places the bunker inside the walls or worse with the entrance toward the outside of the base, but in general the people that would die to try to res you, that carefully plan a base are much more than the brainless ones. Removing a mechanic from the game won't give them a brain, also the amount of damage you get from friendly fire it's irrelevant, someone that shoots at you long enough to kill you clearly does it on purpose, but if they want to grief there are more lethal ways, removing FF would only make it worse. Griefers must be taken care of by other means... ask instead to include a VOTEKICK function.

If you run into direct fire of a bastion already laying down cover fire that is not the bastion's fault. Because you were not shot upon to start you ran into it. That is not a reason to penalize a player for performing a role vs some one that wants to run in front when there are other options available to them.

I want to agree, but maybe instead change the % of FF per difficulty. Don't want to start bad habits.
I figured FF was already pretty low, but if they could make it lower, then yes, changing % of FF to a minimum value for easy, current value for normal, then raise it for higher difficulties might be a good option. That said, multiple other games have it where FF is at 0 for the easiest difficult.

Ya I believe Vermintide is one. And that is also an issue with the game, cause people move up difficulties, and suddenly they have to play COMPLETELY different. Thats what I mean by bad habits.

Even if its 5%, it still does enough to where someone goes "Please don't do that", and they avoid the habit. Without truly punishing them.

yeah if you didnt just focus on the asians part and read where i said and operators right after which you flat out cut out in your quote. Everyone plays operators thats all inclusive. Its been specifically the asians and a lot of people playing operators that do the majority of the on purpose team killing. Next time try quoting the whole sentence dumb ass.
Historically, no friendly fire has been proven a solid choice. Killing Floor 2 has none, and it's a solid game. Very similar type game to this, too.
Sometimes it happens by accident or maybe performance reasons, just like in my case. As long as i try to revive them, it should be ok. No intention to tk someone.
