Campaign or "ending"?
Does this game have a campaign with an ending or is it more similar to, for example, Deep Rock Galactic?

Oh absolutely not. It's just a bunch of tutorial levels. 90% of them can be won by running past everything and either kill the specific target(s), pick up the objectives, holding a button, or just reaching the objective marker.

There are no cutscenes, no story either, just paper thin excuses to move you to one location to another. Frankly I'm not sure why they even bothered, most of the maps take place underground anyways where the only differences are like "Ooh this one has lava!~" Very few of them take place outdoors (Boreas/the ice planet and X-11/SPACE.) so why bother moving to different planets?

This is not Republic Commando. Even bringing it up as a comparison is an insult to that game. If you're interested in buying this game for the "campaign", DON'T. Multiplayer is a buggy mess, but a fun mess.

"Spoilers" for the "ending": It's just a still frame and a VO going "Oh hey you're still around? Cool. Well, see you in the next update I guess." There is no reward for beating the campaign. With how achievements are bugged right now, you don't even get that.
