Hoppers (aka flying bugs) make sense to be here but it doesn't seem like there is anything in this game which can fly smoothly. Gonna be rough to implement.
Pretty sure I've never seen a bug like the Gunner before, at least not in that iteration, outside of this game. Seen spitters and other ranged bugs. But my point is, it would be okay if they made up some stuff. Like I feel they did with the Gunner. Pretty sure SS: Terran Command did this as well.
But just hoppers can be a great and a huge game changer. Looking forward to it, though I expect release is a long ways off.
Maybe they already implemented them we just don't know it. Perhaps every time someone puts the last gas in too early it was because they were taken away by a hopper and taken control of by the mind bug thingy and then sent on a mission to sabotage the Arc.
That and brain bug "payload" missions.
