Decoy grenade is broken and rocket launcher
Decoy grenade is broken, throw it at bugs and the bugs will rush at me ignoring the decoy grenade.
Apparently it worked fine in 1.0, but now it's the same with or without it!

The damage and range of the rocket launcher is also too low ...... Do you believe the rocket launcher can't kill gunners? The range has also become too small...

It's already hard to get this weapon from normal maps, and the damage and range is nerfed so much!

Decoys are still working.

Bugs prefer you or other mates more than a decoy if you´re to close.

RL got nerfed in EA. :rot:

Decoy was nerfed it seems, it still works, but now you need to be far away from the bugs for them to attack the decoy and not you
GL is fine still after the nerf, the range is increased with the Prosthetic Servos perk (which is a must have for a Demo anyway), and I reliably kill the gunners in one hit. It has a very small blast radius, so you just need to aim right at the target. GL is also better in killing Grenadiers than even the heavy sniper rifle, they have the same damage but the GL has much higher rate of fire

I run demo alot and the bugs are not going after the decoy as much as they used to. If i had to guess they are as much as 50% reduce in the range of the bugs they pull. it used to be you could place them out and the plasma bugs would no longer be a problem. now the plasma bugs almost completely ignore the decoys. So I also think there was something changed with the decoys.

I've played 1364 hours since EA and the Decoy Grenade has definitely been nerfed, yes, in version 1.0 the Decoy Grenade had a great ability and after the 1.1 fix it's obviously been nerfed.
The changes are pretty obvious

What changes are you talking about? There's been no nerf to the lure grenades if anything I'd say they got buffed. They pull aggro way more now and at times will even take priority over pheromones on the Guardian

they are very inconsistent for me, they either don't take attract any bugs and every bug continues to run straight at me (had this when I played as a Demo on Boreas, I thought that something was broken, in that game almost no bugs were attracted to my lures), either they make sharp turn and chase the grenades right at my nose.
I didn't play the Demo after the latest update so can't say if something was changed after the update

Each weapon, each utility, each skill has its hidden trick and all must be used correctly.

Lure grenade works well, but if the insect already has a target it will hardly change it, even if you shoot them, when they are not alert if you shoot them you will be the target, but if they have a target they will very rarely change it.
They work correctly if you use them in areas far from other objectives.

As for the rocket launcher, every explosive weapon has additional damage with the demolisher, thanks to its passive.

The "prosthetic arm" (perk) increases the range of any throwable object, including the grenade launcher, (rare but true.)

They all get bitten for using flamethrowers off base but no one uses gas grenades to slow them down or electric shock beacons to paralyze them.

"On your feet" (perk), almost no one uses it but you can revive anyone you want from a great distance, for free even through structures and mountains of corpses, save your stims.

If you don't empty your mag, you can reload faster.

etc, etc.

Know your weapons to use them properly

Thanks for sharing your knowledge of the game, but the 1.0 version of the decoy grenade is indeed more powerful, almost enough to keep the bugs from focusing on the player!

Maybe the 1.1 decoy is closer to the truth, so we'll just have to adapt to it.

Also, as StarsheepTrooper said
They're very erratic for me, either they don't attract any bugs and each one comes straight at me (I had this happen when I was playing the Demo on Boreas and thought something was wrong, almost no bugs were attracted to my decoys in that game), or they'll make a sharp turn and throw a grenade right at my nose.

It happens all the time, sometimes the bait grenades work, sometimes they don't.
