Rest are not because either players mess up (stay in base, waste tickets, not going after hive/patrols, engineers not repairing etc. etc.)
...and/or the game just throws too much on you to handle (general game bugs, ore/gas too far away, bugged patrols, hive 900m away - often same time as several other patrols far away etc.) making the broken spawn system raise infestation too fast and trigger the endless horde too early.
As the endless horde is truly massive compared to EA the game in most cases will then become boring and unwinnable with everyone pinned at a fire-engulfed base chasing gun XP. Rarely can a hero medic with bug repellant perk bring the last canisters in but usually tickets run out before that as everyone just give up.
In EA without tickets it was possible to turn around a match that had a bad start (due to any of the above reasons), not so anymore.
But as someone said, when the game shines it (still) really shines.
You can disable crossplay if you want in the options menu, but of course, that will increase wait times since it reduces the number of available players.
I don't care whether I win or lose. I've already got everything, and the game, beyond a "win" or "loss" message, doesn't punish you; you can still level up at practically the same speed.
It only inspires the "honor" of being able to say "I won," but nothing changes between losing and winning.
Daytime players are pretty terrible, evening is a mixed bag, but if you play late night it's mostly skilled players.
And I personally have played way less since 1.0 than i did pre release. In fact i am pretty much done with the game at this point. i doubt i have even 5 more hours to give. Grinding the guns is not fun. I was chasing the achievements, but i absolutely dont have another prestige rank up in me. And with the endless horde glitch going on 6 months, its just pointless and not fun anymore.
I still occasionally play some PC only multiplayer games with fewer active daily players, this game isn't quite dead yet when you can still find a game practically 24/7.
Its still a buggy bug game. Some matches are great though.
Managed to defend in ARC mission against the maxed alert horde for over an hour and still get gas and win the game. THAT was match of the year for me and its those few times the game comes together that makes me keep playing
That's because the majority playing are on either on Xbox or PS...so disabling Crossplay will sometimes if not all the time takes a looooooonnnggg aaaasss wait to find a game, sadly.
Its not a bug to have Ore far away..... Its a bug to try to cooperate as a TEAM :-D I really dont understand whats so hard to go as team for one mining mission, 2engineers could pick 4 canisters, rest of the team is defending them traveling back :-D Such a simple task, engis could support with ammo, medic with stimpacks..... Such a simple task, always goes to fail by anarchy :-)
Also servers can be hit and miss. They just posted that servers are having issues right now
The game is a lot of fun and have improved since EA. The hills of bug corpses and the improved sound design is amazing. When you hear shooting in the distance and weapon sounds are realy nice. Im still coming back to shoot bugs. I can not say that about helldivers 2
