Is the game worth it?

I am a big starship troopers fan and i was looking into this game for awhile now. I've seen a lot of videos of the game and it really looks fun, but when i look at the reviews i see people saying that the game is unplayable, too buggy (No pun intended), and also for some reason sometimes rude moderators or devs, so is the game really worth buying or should i just reconsider...?
