Outside of the performance and balance issues the game is honestly very fun but the only real concern is that the playerbase is tiny on PC and mostly made up of console players at the moment. Meaning lots of casual players that don't/can't work as a team. The game is definitely on the easier side compared to other PVE FPS but the lack of coordination and game sense can make it far more difficult than it really is.
I'd recommend getting it during the Steam Summer Sale, it'll be enough time after update 1.4 (mid-May) to pass that everyone will make their opinion known on it here in the forums and for any needed fixes or improvements. I do not recommend buying at full price as there is still not enough content to justify the price at the current time.
In that case, it's worth it.
The game is not perfect, but it brings the vibes.
Most of them complaining are massive bunch of lowlifes lives in the basement with a 10 years old pc
Just ignore those reviews and look at legit players like me ; I had fun with it 110 hours and still having fun with it
I think this is the only one on the market with 16 players coop PVE slaughtering hordes of bugs ?
Paying 50usd for a game like this is not recommended. Wait until is done, if ever, and see if there is a price drop. Game is unplayable at this point.
Finding a game of Hard isn't much of an issue at the current time. Assuming you have crossplay on and are not trying to play from the company ops playlist as those are guaranteed long waiting times.
YEA RIGHT , is this a thing for some creep's inner circle for making level 0 trash :"private steam account " and talking trash in every other games discussion forum ? because u guys " value privacy " so much eh ?
u creeps are funny, even those china man are better than u at least they make an effort by making their bot aCcount level 20 & public lol
Just don't play it 4 hours per day or you're going to get tired of it fast cause yes, it is repetitive. But once in a while it's great.
Don't know how much players there is but here you go. (pc, europe)
Now that i think of it, it's pretty funny that it's quicker to find a game in Starship Trooper than it is in Dead by Daylight, which is massively more popular.
And if you're Lucky enough to be in the game where gamers talk & help each other then that's a Bonus. Have Fun !
It is like Killing Floor 2, but in Starship trooper skin and you need to build your own base at times or do mini quests. All the classes are great, but does not take as long to unlock stuff for as KF series.
Tech wise the amount of dead alien bodies, that they stack and eventually other aliens can climb over the bodies and reach the top of a wall and get over is pretty cool to see.
In turn, because of this, you need a good PC to run this game without issues. I currently have and in turn never drop under 60fps on Epic at 1440p, which is kinda amazing. In this game hordes are huge, the bodies stay around until you manually remove them (melee, explosives etc) so I understand why some people complain that the game loses fps towards the end.
