To the people who have played... Is this game good?

It's a lot of fun. Matchmaking is fast and XP is gained fast so you get better gear and guns. The classes are (mostly) really fun as well. I reinstalled it a couple of days ago after not playing for many months and I'm really enjoying myself!

yes.

but seriously, you have to look at it like an addict digging till they get an answer they can use somehow/somewhere.
simple rule: if topic question can easily be answered faster by searching forum, look between the lines for the OP motivation.
many reasons, rarely good.
Personally I would say "yes", but it really comes down to personal taste & expectations.

OP
Are you a Starship Troopers fan?
Do you like online FPS PVE?
Are you willing to accept that this game is in early access and still has bugs
(no pun intended)?

Btw.
I also own Silica.
That game is fun, but it also WAY less developed thus far then SST:E
AND it's a completely different genre/experience.

Overall I would say it well worth 30 Buckerooos.

It's pretty rough, and buggy in a bad way.
I also don't think this game will survive for long.
Still waiting for them to fix the damn spawns on the bugs themselves

The game is okay not the best right now due to technical bugs in the game but its the closest simulation of the movie that you are ever going to get in a game. Its literally a 50/50 right now if its going to fail at launch but if you buy it now you will get a better deal than at launch since most likely they will raise the price of the game.

It's a really difficult question to say, because every opinion is personal.

I personally enjoyed and enjoy this game a lot, but how do I know if you will?

If you are interested you can simply try it, there is always a "refund", as long as it meets the conditions.

The game was fun on launch for me, and became less fun the more problems arose in the game, I'm just following progress until it releases to see if it merits coming back to it. I also wasn't a big fan of them saying they didn't really plans to add that many new weapons in.

The original Engine used was definitely fun for everyone but it didn't have the cool features that it has now.

Then like everyone said, when they switched to U5 engine, it went downhill from there till 0.8 version and it got better again.

Only way for you to find out if it's worth your time & money is try it for a few hrs then ask for a Refund if you wanna wait till October instead.

New to the steam forums?

Been well worth it for myself. Even after 1500 hours I still enjoy it.

id hold off and wait for the October update/release, and see if they include more optimizations. at base the game is not bad at all, but as soon as the actual horde shows up later in your match, it gets really laggy for most people, the game is not in a good state as far as that goes. the other issue, which is much more minor, is just small glitches here and there, like i was trying to change a graphics setting (i jsut re installed yesterday) and it was stuck going from high to epic instead of medium and low as well. but those arent really that bad. so yeah, once again, id wait till october and see.

Does it? Because NONE of the people I play & played with ever experienced that.

Maybe define of what you mean by "most people".

did you ask every single person you've ever played with if they were lagging? they probably were, and did not say anything. The player count speaks for itself. The game runs poorly for the majority of people. With the exception of those with high end hardware, in some cases. When the game is released, I hope that everyone will have better performance. If not, the game is doomed to fail.
