Tips to make Weapon XP Grind easier

Been trying to get the SMG to lv 10 but oh gods being stuck with Ranger stuff until then is a chore. Any Idea to make it go a bit quicker?

ARC with Tiger Ambush, or Horde.

I would guess horde mode, concentrate on tagging every enemy with a couple of shots and let your teammates finish them. Make sure you tag each tiger/grenadier/inferno before it dies

kill big bugs or go to the hive there are a lot of royal guards

Shoot as many bugs as you can with 1 mag. Don't unload it on a single bug. Always be on the lookout for HVT's like tigers/grenadiers/infernos, no matter how far they are just shoot a salvo at them to tag and let your teammates finish them. Since you're trying to level up the SMG, your most efficient way is to burst fire in a horizontal pattern trying to tag as many as you can.

HIve is exceptional for leveling up any weapon, unfortunately almost no one plays that mode, even so, there are "Hive" missions in "Arc" mode.
in hive in this mode you can farm up to 5k-6k exp per run.
Each egg gives 2XP, it doesn't seem like much, but if you shoot all the eggs you can, you will have a list of EXP points that literally lasts minutes, since you can get 1000xp to 2000xp for destroying most of them in seconds.
And kill large insects, it doesn't matter if you kill them or not, even if you damage them you will share the exp.

I have all weapons mastered and by experience I can say that the easiest ones were the grenade launcher and the flamethrower, and the hardest ones were the pulse pistol and by far the engineer's shotgun

Eggs in Hives will help you level your career and class but it will not add to your weapon mastery.

Just be glad that you're leveling it to 10 AFTER the buff. Leveling the first version killed my soul.

Its over its done took about 4,500 kills but its over, best place to get Weapon XP is that under ground defense map you can bait the AI with building Gates on two sides of the HQ and the bugs above the HQ will get confused and huddle together up top
