Is Napalm good for demolisher?
I feel like the Napalm Barrage does no damage. When I use frag grenades, I always get several kills with the bombardment but when I go for Napalm grenades they enemy just walks past fire and I only get one or two small bugs kills at best.

Does anyone knows if there is a problem with fire patches on the ground not dealing the correct damage or if Napalm is overall a poor choice?

napalm is for area control, the fire has fear.
fire blocks vision, so chem nade is picked more. (edit: general use note only)
lure also has its uses
cluster for watkins or dps

I assume you need to level up Medic to 15 to use gas grenades on the demolisher, right?

The fire grenade causes very little damage, normally if you get a kill it is for assistance.
Many insects are resistant to fire, such as the inferno and fire warrior.
Any other option is better.

Lure grenade is extremely OP.
Just try to throw it far away or it won't work properly. Insects prioritize living targets.
Outside of that with lure grenade you can get up to 10 kills per grenade.
In addition to being a very useful distraction when it comes to extraction.

At the moment no grenade and utility can be mastered and shared unfortunately.

i was thinkn it would b nice to have hi-ex on demo barrage, but chem barrage.... im sure Geneva taught us to shy from thinkn like that.

edit: if i could custom the class, i would use chem and only chem. thats why we cant use chem.

The demolisher doesn't get the chem grenade sadly.

The Napalm is only good if you want to block a path or if you can drop it on a good amount of bugs. Other than that you will send them out, hit a few if lucky and the rest of the bugs will ignore it or go around your wall of fire. No good for kill numbers.

Oh yes, I would love the chem grenade, my personal opinion is that the fire grenade is sh*t, haha
-it hardly causes any damage
-it is the only grenade that the insects resist
- and it screws up any teammate leaving them blind.
It's horrible in everything.
I wish I had the chem version instead of that.

It's so bad that someone once insulted me, and it wasn't even me who had that grenade
causes "social collateral damage" xD
I always have my great lure grenade!, There's no way I'm using that thing!

Yep that is the worst thing about the napalm grenades. I hate it with a passion when players ( and I can't blame people for doing it ) drop a napalm grenade on me when playing a guardian - you are totally blinded and out of action - yes we can wild fire but we all know that comes with shooting your team mates. The only saviour in this, is if the bugs are highlighted in red. Not always the case though.

Hopefully they reduce the visual instruction of the flames a little, no visual effect should hinder more than 35% of the near field of vision, otherwise it becomes annoying.
visual clarity should remain for the most part

Honestly, 99% of the visual obstruction from Napalm it's caused by it not sharing the same graphics style with the rest of the particle effects. Each time I see it, I can't help but think they pasted fireexplosion.png over my screen.

it feels like a shutterstock image without transparency. :steamhappy:
At least it should be more transparent when you have the flames on your face, it should affect like a fog.
Bug just go around the fire, even if they go into the fire still not slow it down, basicaly useless

If the goal is to prevent bugs from pushing through a breach, then yes.

If you are looking to farm XP, then no.

I prefer the cluster grenade, it has more area of damage, can insta kill warriors and drones and you can reach oblique angles if you know how to use it properly.
