1) How long is a piece of string? If he spawns near any other objectives i.e. ore and people keep triggering it then he'll never advance, or my personal favourite he spawns in an area where Bug Exterminations keep spawning in so he never moves as he constantly stops to fight.
2) NPC trooper that can follow people around, that's basically it.
3) Because its a ♥♥♥♥ secondary.

It would even be great to be able to see a "replay" of the battle recorded by the cameraman after the extraction
They could add a little monitor in the back of the extraction dropship playing the footage with a FedNet overlay. Give the people waiting for everyone else something to do.
It would probably be a bit expensive in performance to render things twice, but unreal itself has a tool that allows you to record, say, the "game", like soccer games, where the scene and events are repeated in the same way.
They could do that after the extraction as a bonus maybe,
it would even be great to be able to share that recording. "it's even Marketing?"
It would be great a final trailer where the game imitates some kind of scene like the movie where the cameraman dies.
