Demos are pretty fun now
Give it a shot, now with the watkins trigger they bring a lot to the table. I hope it doesn't get changed though imagine 28 deaths on a 25 ticket map. You can run out unload all your ammo then self explode to respawn with full ammo.

Such a garbage mechanic. I really hope cooler heads prevail and watkins gets removed or nerfed.

na, its great, they could maybe implement a cool down on the ability to prevent too much cheesing but its pretty fun as is. Makes the squad more risk free as well, a team of 2-4 demos can go to the objectives without risking ticket loss.

Yeah demo is becoming my favorite class now, shame the UI bugs out for me most of the time though

Well, while the aim of the game is to have fun, the watkins trigger is out right daft. Running out to blow yourself up and waste revives is just out right silly but yeah, we know peeps like being silly. Stop loosing the revive count and no one will care, if the devs do that.

Personally I think it's an awkward class, like a kid's learning puzzle putting in coloured shapes into the wrong holes. That's how it feels to myself.

The grenade backpack launcher thing just doesn't seem to work. Says it launches grenades but what kind of grenades because one minuet you see an explosion, the next you see nothing happen, the next it's giving you green men that sometimes explode, sometimes they do nothing. I'm confused every time I use that ability of what it does.

The Lure grenade is such a useless chance, that no one goes near it or no one shoots the bugs at it from a distance or the bugs run past it.

The nuke is plain out right annoying to use. Hope you don't get killed placing it down, hope the bugs run over it at the right time. Or hope your lure grenade gets enough bugs to the nuke in the short time you got before it goes off.

C4 is a constant run, place down, jump over 10 walls to the ammo create, 10 walls back to the front to place down more C4 that really doesn't kill much. Most battles you see C4 all over the place that no one has bothered to wait around to use it which tell me all i need to know about C4.

Such a map chancing team chancing class to use in the hopes you get it right at the right time without the team messing it up for you or the bugs eating you as you set your clunky plan up.

I can see why people like watkins trigger, it's easy and mindless fun compared to the rest of the class abilities that are just frustrating to use and set up.

If people like that and make it work, I take my hat off to you.

The grenades it launches is based on what you have equipped as your throwable one. The lure grenades are amazing. The thing people do wrong with them is throw them near allies. You are meant to throw them away from everyone so that they actually lure the bugs to them as long as they are out of a players aggro range

Ah I see thank you. That's how the backpack grenade launcher works, makes sense now.

Yeah but I see players see the lure grenade as an opportunity to get kills before we do. They see a bunch of bugs gather around it and go, yes.. more kills for me.

I do it when I see someone throw a lure grenade, see the bugs gather and start shooting and then I realise I've just took their kills away. It just happens without thinking.

You must have missed the patch notes watkins no longer costs a ticket. So even with 25 tickets you can die unlimited times without using a single one.

So now that you are ticketless it's easier to float between different objectives. If base is being overurn you can die and instantly respawn for base defense.

You can run in and trigger an extermination, for your team further away to finish.

If you want a fun combo do fire grenade. You can block one area then rocket pack to block another area, funneling enemies into easy kill spots.

The nuclear detonator I agree on sucks. If it would actually deploy when you try but any uneven ground or movement prevents you from even placing it.

After playing with it, it is useful on horde mode you can place it right at the wave start. Burn left side, burn right side. Timer hits zero drop the nuke, enemies funnel in and easy wave start. Either have your grenade launcher or your c4 used as an escape route back to base.

Outside of horde mode it's kinda used based off seeing a spawn. But I think c4 is more effective so I basically use the nuke last. You place it and die then you nuke yourself and the secondary nuke gets more enemies.

Where it can be abused pretty easy is arc defense if the spawn is close to ark, spawn in grenade launcher, repair until you die and self detonate on arc repeat to save from arc destruction. But even then it just buys time for teammates to come back you can't solo hold it.

A demo with grenade launcher and xxx combo with fire control I'd argue is the most busted build in the game.

During the ARC slam and during Horde is when you see the lure grenades shine the best. Since you can throw them well away from the base, you get quite a few bugs to gather around them. At that point even if people kill the bugs, new bugs can still gather around them and you can still get kills with them.

Keep in mind lure grenades are also not just meant to kill bugs. They are also meant to help buy time and possibly draw them away from other troopers.

Mixed opinion on this ah the only good bug is a dead bug.
And also just drop some c4/nuke and trow a lure there and see if they shoot faster ^^
And best part about them lure's is when them plasmabugs team kill XD then no one gets the kill
