The E-Pulse weapons also have a very cartoonish sound, like cheap laser noises, which is what they basically are in terms of form due to originating from the second movie, which I've heard was very cash strapped and introduced the E-Pulse weapons to help with the budget.
The physics engine probably wouldn't be helping either, since now we have Bombardiers which provide a large force from a point near to the ground, as opposed to the Grenadiers before which provided a large force from a point originating from above, leading to more massive launches of people.
As another pre-.70 player, albeit one that didn't play too much, it feels about the same to me, but I never really paid much attention to the sounds or how the bugs react, so you probably have more knowledge on this.
Looking forward to it.
Pyre's still there with the same old voice lines. It's a different voice actor doing the lines regarding reinforcements, and clearly you've never heard an English lady speak before. For shame! XD
I'm not sure this part is true, according to Steamcharts, it's currently hovering at around 500 players, which is twice the numbers it had before the update. It's in the same order of magnitude granted, and the spike was thrice that at 1.5k, but it's still an increase currently from the pre-patch numbers.
This may be just me, but it's harder since we don't have Pilum spam and half the team is no longer composed of troopers popping off rockets ASAP.
Also no more ammo create spam which is a huge draw back. Not many engineers with ammo packs that go out to the far away ore refineries leaving the team with out ammo and that I noticed a lot and it kills the team. Been in many teams where we are all calling out for ammo and know one has it. On top of that you have snipers and rangers carrying ore leaving the team down man power and soo many teams just perish this way.
And also the Guardian only has 200 ammo now where it used to be 800 or something from what I remember. The Guardian really suffers now as I'm noticing engineers are not giving them ammo. Back in the day the Bastion had a wall of ammo creates around him in his bunker but now...Zero creates and the Guardian's ammo runs out quickly.
On top of that and you can see it, people haven't upgraded their guns as they are the basic colour. Maybe they don't know about it, possible. Then also we get to 100 and have to reset everything and do that every time we get to 100 level. So we could have experienced players but for some reason we get demoted back to basic having to start all over again. I'm on my 3 tour of duty and yet instead of being that experienced Sargent in Vietnam that everyone trusted, I end up being a new recruit that's just come out of boot camp.
As much as these devs keep trying to solve things, they seem to be making thing just as bad. I can really say I had more fun in the start of this game, the new class change has a long way to go. A win these days is rare on hard mode where as before the class change hard was easy.
Got my shekel's worth at least.
Have you heard of a Drill instructor named Zim?
