the EVAC in this game suck, here my ideal to make it more fun
Every time I finish a game I wonder "who the hell hired this pilot and how do I get rid of him"? You know the reason, right? Who would land an evacuation ship a few hundred meters away from its target only to see the target in need of rescue suffer and be slaughtered on the way to the rescue point? What is the purpose and why do we have to land so far away? There are many missions that allow evacuation ships to park right next to hot spots, making evacuation not only easier but also more fun.

So why not add another building slot just to serve as a landing point for the evacuation ship right in the base? Do you agree with me that evacuation is not only easier but it is also more fun because now you have 2 minutes and 30 seconds more to focus on slaughtering the bugs with the help of 4 sentry and 4 turrets than The whole team "run out of the base together and move few hundreds meters in the open area with the bugs constantly spawning right under your feet and you and your teammates have no way to escape them, and if you're lucky Half the team will reach the evacuation point if there are enough medics."

My message to the dude who make EVAC point on other side of lava river: "If hell exist, you already have room in it"

In the movie they have to flee the battlefield to reach the extract ship. So I assume that's what it is inspired bu. What's funny is the evac ship's landing zone is totally random. Once in a blue moon it will land within 20ft of your base. I have seen it spawn so far away that no one on the team was able to reach it even though we were sprinting toward it for a full two minutes. I have also seen cases where the game randomly decided we had 30 seconds to reach the boat instead of 120 and only a few of us made it. Long story short: game is not finished

no it not random my friend, i know exacly where the evac ship will land base on location of mission

a couple mission combinations can have the evac be on the other side of a lava river needing a long run to bridge or engi build one, or the rare mile run on Agni, and a rare one at the fuel depo area having its own mile run.

yeah i always die when it's across lava river. but the jetpackers make it out fine ofc:steamsalty:

if your class not have jet pack, I recommend running away from the base when the mission is 90% completed, when the bugs spawn less and not focus too much on the player, I've tried it and the success rate is quite high.

if i know lava river exfil is coming i try to run to bridge or scan beacon the path to bridge. many players these days follow the jetpackers to the lava and either engi or eventually turn to the bridge.

They need balancing badly. The evacs are either near impossible or boring.

True, they appear to be experimenting with a kill zone on evac where bugs inundate the evac route. I have tried waiting and trying to clear it as a sniper. Also tried taking a long way around if one was available but then I could not help others. Not much success with either.

So its not really random, but theres usually 3 or 4 different locations. Used to be *more* random, which is to say, it could have come down much further away. Hardly fixed locations though.

Personally, I dont feel like extraction needs much changing, but Im open to whatever comes up. Mostly feels like people just play differently than a few months ago, not even taking the new classes into account. But we will see what both the community and Offworld want from it.

They should at least get rid of evacs that land 600m away. Sometimes you can barely reach the ship even if no bugs attack you.
it not random but it not knowable 100% of the time, i have had multiple games on the same seed with different evac points. but there are certain site that they will land. and on some mission it a grantee but on others it not quite.
