Other than those I wouldn't count on weapon XP change for a while if it does change.
- Low fire rate weapons depend more on large insect mutators, tiger, grenadiers, inferno.
For example, the flamethrower is incredibly easy to level up in [/b]hive mode[/b] by burning eggs, you get an insane amount of exp, and sometimes up to 2 royal guards appear, these are worth up to 200xp.
Hive mode is not a very popular game mode, but it is a very fast mode, even losing you get a lot of experience, so the result is almost indifferent.
Just kill everything you can, especially eggs, even the ones on the ceiling.
Unfortunately you will have to be patient in hive mode, as I said not many play it, so sign up and do something else while.
Once you find a game, players are likely to repeat.
I almost have all the weapons mastered xD
Having to rely on certain mutators doesn't make total sense to me. Some people might love a way a certain gun feels, but not want to play on a particular mutator & in that case might feel penalised just because they're a more casual player.
The auto shotgun is ez, it uses slug round, just shoot a tiger like 3 times and you get the xp, the other shootguns are so slow to level up
