Will the PC version be getting the single player campaign like the consoles?

Because the press release on PC didn't state that it would.

Bigger question; Will the SP mode be offline?

You still need a online connection to play this game. :OldLord:

Welp still no support from me then. Or anyone else that is smart enough not to pay for something that will be taken from you at some point.

no. I mean if you are getting this for single player I gotta wonder, but... if you are... you SHOULDNT have to be online. End of discussion

Single player is more of an addon, the game was always meant to be MP but SP is an after thought that they don't have to do. You can't then expect them to rip apart the game to suit the few.

Yes, which is why several online only games has had offline mode added this year alone;
Wayfinder, nightingale, warhammer 40k: martyr, redfall.
So you and this game better follow up this changing world, online only and "live services" are dead-end.

Best answer I've read to people complaining they want single player modes in MP games (go make your own game and stop being so demanding).

"In my head it can't be that hard...

That's the thing - You're likely talking from a perspective of little to no experience developing games, and I don't mean that as a dig.

tl;dr - It's a complex answer that depends on the game/engine/studio. One person's way of doing online isn't how everyone does online.

Longer answer - Depends on a lot of factors. How intertwined is the online portion in the game loop? Did the studio make the game modular enough to separate everything, or was that too difficult because of other factors like always-online factors that the publisher insisted on? Does the studio even want to try to separate the two, or did they see offline mode as a lower priority? Is the game even designed to be offline?

The questions above are just some of the factors that studios have to take into consideration, and I'm not even really diving into technical aspects."

TBH i have very, VERY low expectations for the single player campaign. Yeah they got Casper Van Dien as Rico and thats cool, but i have a feeling the campaign is going to just be a slightly modified version of what the multiplayer already is.....except with Rico spouting orders. I truly hope that isnt the case though.
