Same here. This is Alpha, the problems today will be gone tomorrow. Plus I've managed to get good fps with an old card through testing.
So is it just straight up working better on old machines?
Start the LSFG frame generation process in Starship Troopers 1. Purchase the Lossless Scaling frame generation program on STEAM
2. Turn on RIVATURNER and lock the frame rate at half the refresh rate of your screen. 4K 60FPS is locked at 30FPS, and 4K 144hz is locked at 72fps.
3. After opening Starship Troopers: Extermination, go back to the desktop and click the Lossless Scaling frame generation option (LSFG)
4. Go back to the game and wait for about 5 seconds for the frame generation calculation. If the window zooms, it means success. Congratulations on your evolution from killing bugs at 10fps to killing bugs at 60fps or more!
It also depends on your screen refresh rate. If it is 60hz, the frame will be generated to lock at 60FPS and play smoothly. If it is 120hz screen refresh rate, you can experience up to 120fps!
I have an RTX 4090+R9-5950X, and the screen has a 4K 60HZ update rate, so once I turn on the frame generation, it will be directly stable at 60fps and kill bugs smoothly, haha! But since it is not fsr 3.0 or dlss 3.0, there will be some afterimages. , but it is really the only way to resurrect the currently dead Starship Troopers: Extermination!
Depends on your machine. I was getting 60fps with a 1070 on low settings, but my rig also had 32 gb of ram and a liquid cooled i7 . I've been constantly looking for the best way to enjoy on 2 different systems and testiing the differences
The idea of high fps count is having smooth gameplay with no input lag.
no thanks

If it is an Nvidia graphics card, go to the NVIDIA control panel and restore the original factory defaults in the 3D settings, adjust the power option to the maximum, adjust the low latency mode to ultra high, and follow the process I mentioned above for the rest.
