Assuming you actually saw the movie...If you took a few seconds and looked at the store page it would be obvious that it is based on the movie.
That being said, there are some additions made to give it more variety as a game...like jump jets, lmgs, drones, etc...

Yes it is, you should read it. Some military schools it has been required reading. You might learn something.
Actually I recommend people read books so they don't have to join the military
