Is this based on the book or the movies?

The movies were nothing like the book by Robert Heinlein. The movies do not have the armored suits. Do they have armored suits with HE Rockets & Nuclear Bombs/Rockets like in the book?

The book is way better than the movies. Typical producers & directors taking liberty & straying away from the original material.

So far the troopers only have infantry armor, though they're all with full-face visors and proper shoulder- and thigh-protection for some. The Bastion-class (heavy trooper) has access to nuclear det packs.

Assuming you actually saw the movie...If you took a few seconds and looked at the store page it would be obvious that it is based on the movie.

That being said, there are some additions made to give it more variety as a game...like jump jets, lmgs, drones, etc...

Figured I would get some snarky responses. Looked like it is more movie based. Thanks for the responses. Confirmed what I thought. Jump Jets though are more inline with the book.

Typical early release. Might get it eventually, after some of the real bugs get squashed!

Yet without the movies, ST wouldn't had get so popular. The Movie allowed the Idea behind ST to be broadcast to a wider audience. i recommend a documenation about ST movie behind the scenes etc.

Just the cover picture of the game clearly shows which material the game is based on.

the first movie is one of my favorite movies, the next 2 live action ones are kinda meh. I read the book, it is pretty good but I prefer the movie. just looking at the screenshots of the game, it's obviously based on the movie which is much better known than the book is.
