There is also no penalty for quitting the game so if you do roll super bad luck with friendly fire team just leave and join another match. I've only quit when joining in on no recourses everyone grabbing gas, not worth your time to stay.
Also remember don't ask for help in general, you need to be specific. Team demon can you kill the extermination objective. Or I need one jet pack and one tank to come with me to x. It's like telling someone to call 911 no one will do it until you narrow it down or be even more specific.
Open the score board with z, and say "damn so and so you are really killing it on score can you come with me to x?"
Cause if it's accidental TK, that is most likely on you. FF damage is rather low.
Same guy did hide away until the end game, where he ran in and started removing our base...
There needs to be an auto-kick for players who do X amount of friendly fire + uninstall more than like 2 base structures or something.
t. someone who's never been TK'd once yet
No, for the very reason the OP said. People move in front of you to get the kill when you are shooting. Like that dumb guy in the film who had his head blown off with a helmet malfunction. Now I would love to blow peeps heads off if they stand in front of me when I'm shooting.
I do now. I am simply following Rico's instructions from the movie. 'Screw up in combat and I will shoot you myself!'
Really? That is funny, since I am re-reading my kindle copy right now. I am reading that because my paperback hard copy of that is far too fragile now to handle.
Did YOU?
Oh, wait. You read the novelization of the movie, didn't you? It is not even REMOTELY the same.
There were two enemy groups described in the book. The Greenies and the Bugs. The game uses the movie versions of the bugs, probably because they are easier to come by visuals for. There was 'one' set of visual that I know of for the original bugs and that was from a Starship Troopers board game that I once had a copy of. It vanished in one of my many moves, and I regret that to this day. It was a good board game. Far less complicated that Advanced Squad Leader.
Well if you stand in front of someone shooting, then you have screwed up.
Then a LOT of people in this game do it.
Which is why we don't need an XP penalty because it's going to happen and it does. We are 16 random people and it will happen, we are not a military tight nit group.
And it will continue as well that I will troll them when they troll me.
Because 'I' find that fun. if you do not find it fun when I obliderate you as often as I can for TKing me, tough.
It was Rico's fault that the trooper got killed during the live fire training. He was the one who removed the helmet.
That isn't the quote and it wasn't even Rico who said it originally. C'mon, I thought this game was for fans of the franchise.
No, actually I believe it was Sergeant Jellicoe in the book who said that first. 40 or so years before the movie came out. Maybe Ace? I am not that far along re-reading the book yet. Ranzack and Rico were supposed to have a bit more decorum, being officers and all. But then again, decorum is for twits these days, just like tolerance and understanding.
Oh, my bad! Reading books is for weenies, isn't it? So, until they institute some kind of penalty for it, I can do whatever I want. I don't really need an excuse to punish crappy infantile behavior in a video game. I know, I know... I have to win the game for you while you go do whatever you want. But that doesn't mean I have to worry about hurting your feelings while I TRY to play the game.
