It has less to do with bugs that can shoot ♥♥♥♥ and more to do with the overall rate at which they shoot ♥♥♥♥. There are tons of bugs that are pretty deadly, one being the Scorpion bug. At least its known that running from its beam is nearly impossible. But running from these (Spitters?) Gunner bugs when there is more than 1 gunning you down or being shot out of the sky for not knowing whats on the other side of the building/wall. Crazy.
If those things aren't possible pick a better location or move with a team and have one person dedicated to just hunting them.
Most bases spawn close enough to the middle tower that a support(running up the corpese on one of the corners) or jetpack guy can just sit in the middle and snipe. If they are lucky their secondary is rockets. If you have one or two people in the middle they can clear the gunners, grenadiers, and tigers in that order pretty quickly before they make it to base.
This is why they make the game feel good. Also there are revives, don't go on solo missions and look out for possible covers/places to jump down at all times
