Can we get this unmapped or an option to unmap it. I'm hitting 1 and ~ at the same time about 20% of the time.

I never have the problem with hitting the console button. You could try and make a habit of gliding your ring finger from A and Q to 1. You just got to get a feel for it. I think it's a typing method called indexing.

I have no need for a console in game. the fact it disables all inputs until its been closed has killed me at least a dozen times if not more. a ton of games have complete control of keybindings for the game. being able to disable this would be better than having to worry about my finger going 1mm to the left

Go see a plastic surgeon. Sounds like you need to shave an inch of width off your finger(s).

Being able to turn it off or remap it would be nice. I use tilde for my push to talk button a lot.

Helpful PSA though. If you get stuck in the bug where you cannot redeploy then push tilde and try again. Keep doing this and sometimes it will actually unbug you and you can respawn.

I have a simple solution for people with fat fingers or people who never took a class to properly type before without having to look at a keyboard. Just take a keycap puller and take the escalate button off.

I'd personally like to remove or change the console keybind because I like to use ~ as my push to talk button.

You could maybe change this console input key in this .ini file:

But the tilde key helps you kill the bugs. You are not doing your part. The Federation frowns upon that.

hold right mouse button then hit `. A console menu will drop down from the top. let go of RMB then hold RMB again and hit `. you should now be good to go
