Book or Film?

Is this more heavily playing like it might in the film or do we have access to items/weapons/etc from the book as well?

Debatable , so far i haven't seen anything exclusive to the book version .

As far as I can tell they draw influence from basically any Starship Troopers media that already exists. Haven't read the book but definitely doesn't just pull from the first film. Some notable things so far.
Plasma Bugs (and the SAW rifle?) seem to be modeled after Starship Troopers: Invasion
Electric fences appear to be taken from Starship Troopers 3: Marauders
The Hunter class utilizes jetpacks, which were absent in the first film.
I'm sure there's more but my knowledge on the universe is actually pretty limited, and I haven't gotten around to reading the book yet.

More so the films and the tv series Roughnecks, if it was based on the book we would all be in Marauder suits and there would only be about ten players per match, with ten objectives to be completed simultaneously as one MI grunt could cover one square mile by themselves.
