The other Troopers are not "Companions", in Fallout games (unless you have the Mod installed to allow you to Kill all) you can fire your Two-Shot with Exploding Ammo .50 Mini-Gun into a room, & only the "bad" people get dead, nice, but not strictly real..

In this Game we are suppose to be against the Bugs, but I noticed lots are not real fussy, I can understand some friendly fire, but Missile Spamming, SAW Unloading Troopers who shoot whatever BUGS, TROOPERS, Whatever & Whoever is in Front of them is a little crazy ..

Maybe -1 point XP for Friendly Fire ..

Well purely from economics, On how much it costs to put Troopers on Alien Worlds, its not Resource Friendly, just to shoot them, from a survival stand point, its about being part of Group Firepower, so the more in the Group the Better, I realise that with respawning it not so much a thing, during "Advance& Build" but on Evacuation Run, were there is no respawn, is when its really annoying ..

I agree with op about the people but Shendun has a point. In halo people would stand in front and shoot you to get you super low in hopes you tk them so they can boot you.

Purely from another form of economy.
If you still are leveling and lose 1 xp per FF, why should you ever fire at a spot near a teammate? Letting them handle it would be the way to go.

Also enabling trolling.
