Team chat

I feel like too many people don't know this, but the ingame TEAM chat is for talking to all 16 people at once, and not simply the 4 people in your squad. Is there a message ingame to tell people this or did I just miss the message?

I am constantly running into people using the proximity chat to try and communicate with people who are VERY far away from them, and whenever I tell people about the team chat, we suddenly hear a LOT of players react with "♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I didn't know team is for everyone, I thought it's for my 4 team members"

I'd like it if they made 'Team' only communicate with your fireteam, and restrict 'entire platoon' communications to officers. Obviously they'll have to implement officer promotions first.
