Different xp

Running a support a great game I can hit 3k xp. (maxed)
Support gets supper bonus from revives and ammo crates. Bringing in a sniper or rocket launcher and only hunting gunners, grenideirs, and tigers give a lot of xp and team support.
Leveling the support was pretty fast most games 1500+ xp.

As an assault I usually get around 1,000-1,500 (only level 12)

As a bastion 400-1,000xp on a good game. (only level 11)


I think the bonus of making it out alive should be a team shared bonus. If as a bastion you choose to wall up and lay down support, and your team doesn't you lose a lot of xp for saving others.

A little weird a fail mission I can earn more xp on support or assault than a success mission on bastion. Its possible I just suck at bastion, other bastion mains what do you routinely get when you complete? Maybe I just need to play on normal or easy to get more kills?

Bastion doesn't really have a support option till the healing beacon and even then you are gonna be lagging behind when it comes to xp compared to operator or hunter. Best you can do is try to hit as many enemies as possible especially tigers and grenades. You get experience for the assist so don't aim for kills. I usually get over 1k with operator this way, but its still less than the 2k I usually get with operator or hunter.

Thanks, So basically position to where the most enemies are and tag everything. I am guessing that if you position with another bastion the overall damage will be better for xp.

I would be very, very surprised if XP didn't get a major rework. There are large parts of the game that are hinted at but not included. For now, XP is easy so that the devs can make sure unlocks work properly. They've already fixed a bug with loadouts.
