50% of 16 is 8... so that is 24 bullets, not 20.
Grenade Launcher > Rifle. Only time that's not the cause is against Gunners but the Emancipator can deal with them perfectly fine.
Then you play that weapon wrong. DMR is the best weapon in the game. I can easily go up against an infection alert solo and clear those 40 bugs with it. Can't do that with any other weapon
I don't know what class or role you're doing but it sounds like you're not utilizing your class effectively. If you're on Hunter you should be running Rifle/Emancipator with the Chem Grenade and running Magazine the Grenade cooldown perk with Bandolier.
Chem Grenade lasts for an entire minute and insta kills drones while slowly down everything else and killing normal tigers after about 10 seconds. This gives you time to turn around and finish them off with your pistol or Rifle and gives you kill credits on anything that touches the gas. The grenade cooldown perk makes sure you only have about 10 seconds of cooldown after the gas goes away. Then you're supposed to find somewhere high, place down ammo fabs, and snipe important targets. You sniping Grenadier bugs ASAP not only gives you the most points in the game but greatly benefits your team more than killing 30 drones and tigers.
If you're running Op your kit will depend on your role. For base defender generally speaking you want to be running the grenade launcher and keeping things chain-stunned with your emancipator between reloads because coupled with your scan grenade very few things will be able to survive 1-2 mag dumps. For utility it's ammo fab and for perks it's powered up tool builder with extended mag or grenade cooldown.
If you want to run a healing build you still want to use the grenade launcher because you want to be close to people to instantly revive them with stim.
The rifle is good on Ops but it's nothing compared to the damage Ops do with the grenade launcher and a proper build.
You can get 5k exp per hour with Hunter and Ops doing this. Also, the biggest issue with the DMR isn't that it's a bad weapon but that the server gets pretty buggy and your hits don't land when they should because the bugs know instant transmission
Perhaps its because I'm running on easy mode but in my 100 matches or so, I've rarely seen any Operator use the Nade launcher I thought it sucked due to that very reason so haven't tried it.
Operator unlocks it at lvl2
Hunter at 11...
If a class loses their DMR, it is the Hunter
