Arachnophobia mode?
Maybe add an arachnophobia mode?

Just replacing the bug models with something else when it's enabled would help a lot for accessibility. It just sucks that I have to throw my mouse and keyboard and keep flinching while playing the game. :rcry:

He is quite literally trolling, it is a game that features killing arachnids taking them out would be like bringing out a flight simulator and asking the dev's to make a mode where there are no planes because you have a fear of them, if you have a fear of arachnids not the game for you full stop now kindly walk the other way.

I'm not asking them to take them out; they'll still be there for the people who enjoy bugs. I'm just asking for an option to visually replace them with something else for the people who don't like having gnarly insects leaping at their faces.

Why would you be opposed to making a game accessible to more people?

You're right to be afraid, but that's why you're given the Federation's best weapons with a whole fleet in support of your efforts. With friends like those, the bugs don't stand a chance. Would you like to know more?
