So... another online only trash?
Seriously, this stupid trend needs to stop. This game will for sure not make Fortnite numbers, which means sooner or later the devs will shut down the servers, leaving you with an unplayable game and run away with your money.

There's a game called Last Tide. It's an online game that doesn't have enough players. It's pretty much trash even with servers still up, because nobody plays it. MMO's also have the same problem, and they shut down all the time. You'd think people learn, but no.

This isn't a solvable problem as long as people throw enough money at online games that they can make money then shut down after players leave.

The only answer is regulation, like loot boxes, or right to repair. Games should just be regulated so they are forced to stop doing this. Which is just as difficult as voting with your wallet, but over time will produce more solid results. The even quicker answer is getting some sue happy activist to sue companies that do this, because lawsuits are expensive even if you win, and you can make it financially infeasible to make these type of games.

That said, there's always the 2005 Starship troopers game that is single player and very similar. Just play that if you want single player, and leave this game to the multiplayer people. This way you're getting the product you want, not contributing to GAAS, and the people who do will be more responsible for their own actions and not effect you.

someone said in another post that a buck a day isn't a horrible deal compared to other entertainments. It's like spending more to see a movie on big screen instead of dvd. if u get 10 hours of play per buck spent maybe it's not great compared to buying a console game you own for as long as it works, but not horrible for the fun of having live teammates.

You really wanna play with 15 bots? That's a civilian take, son.

Only thing that is trash is people that see an online only game and attack it because they want it their way, which is to have it offline and cheat, go find something else rather than crying.

Op isn't going to read the responses. They stop by puke all over themselves and then bounce and the rest of us are left looking at a pile of puke on the ground. I don't get why I have to know every time somebody doesn't like something.

Have you been living under a rock? Online games have existed for more than 20 years.

It's up to the devs(not you) to decide how they want to make their game. Your self-entitlement needs to stop.

idc if they shut down in 2-5 years as long as this is successful it will trigger to the demand for more SST FPS games.

I hope this game becomes really successful because then we will get more of them, the last good StarShip Trooper game was released in 2005 and it was actually really fun but graphically it was pretty bad.
