No Australian servers

Don't let this fact put you off. I'm playing in AUS and having a blast with no lag or connection issues whatsoever. I've already met heaps of other aussies in game and every single one of them has said the game is playing well for them with no issues - only one has mentioned occasional lag spikes.

Seems like there are two camps on this topic: those who are refusing to play at all because there are no AU servers, and those who are playing despite no AU servers, and really enjoying the game with no/minimal lag issues anyway.
I know which camp I'm happier in. Will you do your part?

A VPN only bypass's domian and IP lockout... I does not fix poor latency.
If anything it will add to latency as you have to go through yet another network on your journey.

VPNs increase latency by introducing extra travel time for network packets.

really wish i read this post before buying but thou its pretty fun even with the lag ): what server do you choose im assuming US west?

US West seemed to be the best for me in metro South Australia, Internode (TPG) as ISP

AND yes I had great time playing also. (thou I will refund in 6days if no Oceania show up)

I get what you're saying, but thats an unrealistical short turnaround time to expect the devs to set up an Oceania server when they've launched an entire game and have important bugs to prioritise that affect all players. We will hopefully see an Oceania server in the future, but don't hold your breath.

I swapped to US West just on the assumption it's going to be the best one for my location, and yeah no complaints so far

unfortunately If I don't return the game before 7 days expires after purchase I cant return it...

I will just have to re-purchase if they fix the issue :*( makes me sad cos I can actually play and badly want to play more.

Actually it should take them 48-72 hours once they're aware of the problem realistically. Since they already are in business with an Aussie server provider through their other games. It's been 24 hours, I'd give them another 48 personally.
