redfall is playable in single player so it's not at all like it

its a co op horde shooter, so funnily enough no there isnt a single player.

If you don't mind the dated graphics, starship troopers 2005 is a singleplayer version of this. The levels, weapons, and sound effects are pretty similar. Makes me think this game is basically a remaster.

What is a service game actually?
To me this is a semi massive PvE FPS.
16 players, a lot more than common coop FPS, but not as many as MMO game, so semi massive.

service games release the bare minimum on launch to drip feed you content over the "lifespan" of the game

And once its gone, its gone, you can't play it, its just there, sitting in a corner covered in dust. Thats what a live service's typical end.

If it even takes off to start with, which is why I avoid these type of games.
