I imagine yes, but remember: you can blow off a limb of an arachnid warrior and it's still 86 percent combat effective.

Aim for the nerve stem and put it down for good.

From the gameplay footage I saw, I did not see anything like this mechanic sadly. It really would add to the gameplay with behavioural and movement changes. Also the fact they are still a threat until you basically kill them with centre mass shots.

or bleed out...

Dislike it when games give them infinite time to keep coming at you, maybe another 30s or so. They aren't zombies.

What I am really concerned about...do the bodies pile up, do the bugs then climb over the bodies? Allowing players to utilize this as a tactic to create chokepoints...like in the films. At the same time, it also allows bugs to utilize this tactic to create ladders.

I'm doing my part!
You couldn’t remove legs in the early alpha.

The engine we are using is from Source 1.0 - Half-Life 1. It is basic in functionality, but means you can run it on your phone or an ipad 2

That is complete BS.

What engine is Starship Troopers: Extermination built on?

Offworld is an Unreal-first studio and we are creating Starship Troopers: Extermination on the Unreal Engine 4. We have plans to move to Unreal Engine 5 during development.
