Updated the OP with the correct information - thanks for the catch!
There was only one problem with the Morita MK3 SAW and that was its total ammo capacity. Having only 2 magazine totaling 300rounds meant I had to have an Ammo Fabricator placed at me at all times because you ran out of ammo extremely quick. The only change that was really needed for it was to go from 2 magazines (300rounds total) to 4 magazine (600rounds total). The damage was fine as the whole purpose of the Bastion was to be a mobile turret and shoot. These changes make things take longer to kill and you have to use up more ammo than before to actually kill so it feels as if no changes will actually happen.
The nerfs to the TW-202-L Morita Hawkeye feel completely unnecessary as the ammo capacity per magazine means you could only kill 3-5 warriors on the hard difficulty but was a very necessary tool to deal with the Gunners quickly as they are crazy snipers that almost never miss even at absurd ranges on hard.
Lastly the damage nerf to the Morita MK1 Carbine is like a gut punch as on hard difficulty with both the Morita MK1/Morita MK1 Carbine take around 50-55 bullets to kill a warrior on hard difficulty and with the damage nerf it could end up meaning you won't even be able to kill a single warrior on hard with one magazine, making it completely pointless to pick as the Morita MK1 will just be flat out better, especially when you're also buffing the damage of the Morita MK1.
The hawkeye was the """meta""" weapon because it had the highest damage and midwit hunters didn't realise that suppression is more important than damage in a team game. The nerf is fine, it wasn't designed to be a solo player weapon because solo players shouldn't exist, and killing 3-5 warriors per magazine is a pipe dream for any other gun (save maybe the GL but it has it's own problems).
The SAW is interesting, I agree with the ammo changes (I actually suggested the exact +50 bullets and +1 mag change a while ago so I guess I wasn't the only one) but the damage intrigues me, the changes state that it should theoretically be gaining damage due to increased accuracy and I think that might be true (before you take the class ability into account) and that thing did tend to miss a lot of shots, although the actual amount of damage that is lost/gained still remains to be seen. The only change I disagree with is being forced to ADS, I generally don't like ADSing with these guns because it's a lot more valuable to be able to see around you and the gun takes a decent portion of the screen right in front of your face, not to mention that you could more easily see where your shots were hitting, I think ADS is just in this game because it's a modern thing but I really don't like it, I hope when weapon customisation comes around we'll have the option to take iron sights off the guns to get a more "zoom in" style of aiming for some of them.
The carbine is ehhh, I'm not sure what the extent of the damage nerf and dropoff buff will be but I'm sure it'll be fine as it says it still kills faster than the morita at close range, which is good, it seems to be overall being made to just have a shorter range of damage which is a decent tradeoff, it used to just be a direct upgrade to the stock morita and could do well at long ranges so I suppose if it still has some killing power the stagger should still be a decent trade.
What does concern me is loadouts. Since it sounds like the order of unlocks will change, what happens if your loadout has invalid components?
