Starship Troopers: Extermination

I think the game made the movie better
First and only Starship Troopers experience for the longest time was the Roughnecks 3D cartoon. Finally watched the original movie like 5 years ago maybe 6. Enjoyed it ok. IDK if it just was better on a second viewing or if the game had me hyped but it was so much better than I remember.

I guess I should watch the bad sequels next just for the hell of it. Drunk, high, or both, any recommendations? lmao

Devs should ask Clancy Brown to reprise his role as Sargent Zim for the tutorial/training voice over once the game is content complete it'd be amazing.

Watch #2 for October holidays if you celebrate those

Get drunk/high for #3

The cgi movies; Invasion and Traitor of mars are good enough so no need for anything special

That would be cool even as a background voice for the main menu.

And a hidden trigger or rare voice line to make him go full Mr Krabs and be all "Rico, me boy!! ACK aackackack!"

I think for most people it "clicks" on the second viewing.
I think that's a big part of why it didn't do well with critics on release

I can see it. I felt really off about Mars Attacks first viewing, also Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, but future viewings both are amazing. They require the right mindset or knowing what you're getting into so definitely second viewing on some movies makes them awesome.

Movie: amazing
Book: based
Roughnecks: solid
Live action sequels: bad and not the fun kind of bad, just bad
Anime sequels: pretty great as long as you can ignore the doofy anime tropes

+1 for Clancy Brown doing voiceovers

No one should watch the 2nd movie...... unless they are doing it on 3x speed.

But yeah.... I really want more of the charm of the 1st movie

I just watched the first one again. I watched it way back, but decided to try it recently with my son. I forgot about the nudity for one thing, but it was better this time around than I remembered lol.

We decided to watch the 2nd and 3rd movies since apparently my dad owns all of the Starship Trooper movies(he's a movie nut). They were fun as well so we will borrow the rest. Fun action korny sci-fi movies what's not to like? Though I will say I am glad the 3rd movie goes back to the "roots" sort of. That second movie was eh..

Just watched the 2nd and it was an overly serious quasi action B horror movie that would have been maybe passable on its own if not for the Starship Troopers coat of paint. From the sounds of it the 3rd movie at least feels like ST despite being notably worse critically than the original.
