Morita Mk 1vs Mk 2 confusion.
The stats confuse me a bit. The Morita rifles are bull pup. But the Morita Mk 1 has a very long barrel and the Mk 2 is a carbine, with a short barrel. Why is the Morita Mk 2's accuracy maxed out and mot the Mk 1, that has a really (insanely) long barrel?

So from what I've seen gameplay wise the Mk 2 carbine has a far higher rate of fire and is practically a laser but its damage drops off at a shorter range than the Mk 1. I think it has a faster reload too but haven't really touched it since to confirm. It would be a good pick for any of the mutations that affect long range visibility like sandstorm.

One is a rifle. It does max dmg at mid range and has a long range for falloff. It shoots much slower than the other. The other is an SMG (the carbine). It does max dmg at short range and almost no dmg at long or mid to long range. Its cone of fire flies out suuper fast if you hold the button. The accuracy stat is probably why you can do quick bursts and be pretty accurate at mid-long range. The 4th bullet and beyond goes into the ether.

In-play, the two feel like they have the same dmg in terms of bullets to kill. But if something is in your face, the carbine will throw lead way faster than the rifle. I like it on my hunter with extended mag and bloodlust. Allows for a more tanky/bastion style of play. That being said, the non-class specific guns are gimmicky. The class-specific guns are superior in almost all cases save specific mutators.

There has been some discussion about the weapon stats. I depends on your interpretation on whether they mean accuracy or damage falloff.

Both are MK1 , you got the normal MK1 and then you got the carbine version of it .
