The creation and sustainment of a God Bug requires the Arachnids to eventually harvest all the water and edible resources from a planet which is the reason the planet OM-1 which Behemecoatyl was on was lifeless. It is known the Arachnids attempt to create a God Bug on each planet they infest, it is unknown how many currently exist or whether there is one on Earth, Mars, etc or if we currently stopped them before they started the process.
