one thing bugs me, if i discover the age of aether why not allowing advanced technologies based on this in more modern ages? why does we need rockets and airplanes if we have aether tech ? some high tech airships would be cool in the modern and future era or even whole flying cities.

That would honestly be super awesome AND costly to dev. I view this idea as worth paying a DLC for. While I'm critical of the actual state of the game, I do like it, and would like it even more with this idea :)
Just wanted to give some positive input. You guys have made a solid game here. It needs some more polish, but update #0 is a move in the right direction. I just started my second game and the spirit power cost scaling already feels much more fair. .

only 3 people, is it real? It explains a lot, lol, I thought there were many people working on this game. Paradox should invest in them and bring some good devs/designers to support their team's vision because this game is sooooo fresh in terms of gameplay but with one of the worst balance/AI/performance and visuals
They are not 3 people now, they used to be 2, then 3, then they grew. Currently they are about exactly 20 people developing this game, and that is art, design, programming, qa, etc, etc. Then I from PDX alongside by colleague Firefly help with feedback and bug report collection from the community.

This is a smaller game compared to our other games, and a new IP, the devs are working on bringing all player feedback to life in terms of updates, but they take time. Please be patient and the Open beta for Update #1 will soon drop with Raze Vassal and Combat Viewer Toggle <3

I'm glad that they grew. The game industry is not an easy business! Please send my regards as I've been shaking my head at some of the demands that come through.

Official modding support will be released later this year and we are planning on adding more maps as well.

Whenever I see PARADOX, I know that the game will become a cesspool of DLCs. I already see 3 DLC in standby after only a month since launch.
Maybe I would not mind some DLCs here and there if you were independent, but it is a fact that PARADOX will 100% squeeze your dear game to death and the people will not trust you again for the next project.

So... no work on the unfun barbarians? Cool. Really, just turn off how quickly barbs create yet another camp. Camps are pretty broken from a balance perspective since you can just farm camps for bonuses and that will be total crap for multiplayer.

ugh the most needed features not available till q 3, YOUR MISSING BASIC 4X STYLE SETTINGS AND THEY'LL TAKE THAT LONG TO UPDATE, sigh guess i wont be playing till then
