I love that we have these base systems in place that expansions will be able to leverage into something absolutely amazing.
But I also will say, as someone who have played so many 4x games I am also more interested in games that are a bit novel. That explore new ideas. A game that is not like every other 4x game.
I will also say I think even with some of it flaws, it delivers pretty well on the novel concepts it has. That compare to some other novel 4x games I have played that do not really deliver that well on there ideas.
The core is outstanding.
It needs polishing, balancing and some ai improvements. No problem to deliver that this year. The games actual state (1.0!) is so damn good.
We nearly forgot about games which dont lack content and/or offer serious bugs and issues at release (looking at you civ6…).
The ages I didn't go down made me super curious and ready for another round, same for the National Spirits. Yeah I'm on my second full playthrough and it's been really nice.
Please keep up the patching and development and don't be discouraged by the reviews.
Civ 6 is mainstream popcorn, not for me.
It is sad when I want to throw the Olympics and all my best buds are busy building skull towers (a literal building in the game). But that's also hilariously fun.
I wish the first stage could be longer. I LOVE IT - it`s like a separate game.
I must say, I've never seen the good Doctor this vocally glowing about a game, even games he likes. But I'm feeling the same. I have more fun with Millennia than any 4X I've played.
I tried this game on my friends account and glad I stuck with civilization.
