Project ATLAS secret?
Has anyone worked out what this is exactly?
It's mentioned in both the achievements, and in a news.txt file in the game folder.

Using the wiki, https://millennia.paradoxwikis.com/Culture there is a reference to an culture action "Project ATLAS - Create Project ATLAS itself."

It is somehow tied to a set of "glitches", which if I had to guess are tied to either chaos or innovations, and based on how the game is structured, this likely involves the main game itself as opposed to anything in the menu.

The thing of note is that the wiki's thumbnail, https://millennia.paradoxwikis.com/Culture#/media/File:Domain_power_Project_ATLAS.png

Doesn't show an icon, but instead a distorted image of a console command being input, which means either the console command is part of the trigger, or there's something specific.

I've seen nobody talking about this here or on the paradox forums, so thought it was worth starting a thread in case anyone has any leads.

My first thought looking at the info provided, is the only screenshot shows The Aztec Empire, with a capital of Texcoco. Perhaps this is needed for the first step of this puzzle? There's already officially confirmed oddly specific details, like the alternative ending to the Age of Heresy, so it wouldn't surprise me if an overly convoluted method is required to find this ATLAS.

There is an entire achievement group and hidden age involved in those special activities on a run.

Since variant ages can't be back to back, this route works.

Purpose ... Age of Heroes?
Calibration ... Age of Discovery?
Nonlinear ... Age of Aether?
Darkness ... Age of Dystopia?
Truth ... Age of Visitors ("The Truth is out There")?
Atlas ... unlocked on follow up condition like Old Ones?

This would be my theory. We need to do something specific in those ages.

Might spoil the surprise, but you could just decompile the game code.
It's all CIL bytecode, and decompiles very nicely to perfectly readable C#.

Glitch 1:

Enter the "Information Age" and immediately go to the tech screen. Do not save, do not reload!
Take "Information" as your next technology choice, then click on the spyglass in the upper right.
Scroll down until you see a flickering glitch. Click it.

If it doesn't show up with the above steps, I went to the Information Age through the "Age of Intolerance" which could be a needed trigger due to the antithesis of information and intolerance. Consider using the same path.

I also had maxed "Government/Insight/Tenacity" social fabrics. If anything is applicable as a trigger, it would be Insight in my eyes.

Glitch 2:

Enter the age of plague. Let 8 instances of plague accumulate in one of your towns.
Now go to the Infopedia and go to "Miscancellous / Needs: Sanitation".
Scroll down and click the little bugger, you already fulfilled his 8 plague trigger.

#4+ isn't in the wiki yet

For #4 you need to:

1. Have the "Glitch #3" achievement
2. Enter the Age of Visitors
3. Go to "Improvements/Data Center" of the Infopedia and scroll down
4. Click on the glitch animation

If I find unlock 5th and beyond before they are in the wiki I'll reply here.

You missed a step in there. You need to have 2 wreckage salvagers.
