This game will likely just get the DLC promised and that's it unless it sells very, very well in which case, it might get a good number just as Cities Skylines did. Success means a longer life. I doubt this is going to be a big hit with 4X gamers for a number of reasons. I think the overall price is going to be less than $70 and the game will be 'complete' or 'abandoned' depending on how snarky you want to be after 9 months.
It's already complete clown
That proves literally nothing clown, keep on hating maybe those delusions will serve you one day
Very true, but the point is to see how it's broken and how much it could be abused. Judging by what I saw, it needs a little bit more cooking. We will see who's the first patch goes, that will define the pace of the updates. Also being able to choose your starting position seems like a big change when that releases.
Raiders national spirit does need some balancing, though, but then Spiff Brit isn't alone in that sentiment.

I have already explained my reasoning so nothing further needs to be added except the following.
I can't claim to know the details of what's in a PI clause and neither can you. What we DO know is that it's in-your-face obvious that PI-published games get some DLC if they're successful but very few get 5 years of development and $500 of DLC. Collossal Order's Cities:Skylines did but that's pretty much it. The PDS line of games mostly all do though so sorry again, but you are the one who is confused.
Thanks for the very important detail on this. Using that to basically put himself an age ahead on turn 1 is like taking the first 20 moves in chess without the other side going ... of course it makes the other side look terrible.
With that full age lead, it made it trivial for him to abuse the Raiders tree. The units being an age ahead of everyone else made for even safer victories which fed into the exploit going so well. Tons of vassals, tons of economy, no way that can't steamroll everything super fast.
If it was presented that way, fair enough, but bragging about how much faster he was than the other streamers was for me even beyond the fun style of the Spazzing Scott. I get that he isn't really serious, and he is clever and entertaining in his way, but it got old fast to me.
The army of adoring fans is fine ... it's nice to have the illusion pointed out in this case.
Everyone who played the demo should've seen how utterly broken Raiders were, and how fundamentally flawed & OP the Warfare domain is due to its intrinsic feedback loop.
Numerous threads on the topic were posted on the paradox forums.
But oh look, it was all ignored, and the game released as-was: steamfacepalm:
I'd be amazed if this game doesn't turn out to be another Paradox cut & run strategy.
I've had multiple starts as I didn't like the way things were headed, and the only ones that actually felt like I was progressing were the military ones. Every other domain just felt utterly starved of the XP needed to progress into it.
