I think it was supposed to be in Update 3 which should be the current update as of today.

I downloaded the update. Started a new custom game. Did a few turns, lousy settling area. Hit Escape. No option for restart. The game ID (in game on screen) was the new update version. I did have the new Barb screen.

Working absolutely fine for me. You made sure to be on the public beta through Steam?

The update was released. It is to the best of my knowledge no longer Beta. What I have been thinking is that that I play "hot seat". that is I play 3-5 human players in order to better learn the game. This may be the reason I do not see it in the menu as I do not just return to the menu after 1 nation but after checking 3-5. I will test it tomorrow with only 1 human player. If this is the case however, I will more than likely just play as I have and ignore having the lack of the restarting capability. Also if they remove the ability to play without the AI and just use all humans I will just sacrifice the cost of the game and delete it.

I really enjoy having the ability to have a more relaxed game in order to see the starting area and then applying it to the potential NS and Governments down the line. Having multiple nations at a time makes it even more interesting. I can answer a lot of what ifs and would this or that work questions. My money, my time, solo player, playing the way I want.

I do think it is having more than 1 human nation causing this to happen. As I stated earlier the Barbarian menu appears. Will see...... Thanks for the advice and the responses.

Just did a quick test, the restart feature only works with a single human player. I am guessing this is because if it could be used in a multiplayer game, someone somewhere would restart the game if they started losing.

Well yes, this would remove the restart function. You really should have mentioned this in the original post because no one would have considered it ex nihilo.
