An honest review
PROS:

1. World map and different raw ressources (wood, bones, wheat, etc.) and their subsequent transformation process into refined materials.
- Although refinery building should be built inside the city instead of using a map tile.

2. Map exploration (natural wonders) & heroes quests. Don't have much to say about it, but for the first 60 turns it feels great.

♥♥♥:

1. Combat. It just feels silly. The animated video feels like playing a flash game back in 2008.

2. Graphics & units design. I know this is still early acess, but the textures and graphics feel horrible. I'd put it on the same level as Civ IV graphics, which came out in 2005.... almost 20 years ago. Also, the units aesthetics feel really bland and generic. Since the game isn't going for a 100% historical accuracy, i'd definitely pump low fantasy armor/weapons for all units.

3. Growing borders. Needs to be more transparent; how many turns until my city grows ? I understand influence helps it, but it’s very opaque and not user friendly.

4. Diplomacy. The diplomacy screen feels like a game on iOS/AppStore. It doesn't reveal much information and isn't user friendly at all. I really hope this is a placeholder. Couldn't try it much since you don't do a lot of diplomatic plays inside the first 60 turns.

some pros you're right but some historical strange points : roads 7000BC, horseriding at the same time :steambored:
regarding management you should se on each province some data like expansion, building time etc...

I wish the starting bonuses would say what they actually give instead of forcing us into the game to see what the bonus actually is.
