ToTH progress. Crafting?

What do you craft for it? Hardwood armor is the obvious one, but I can literally burn through a whole night's worth of wood in less than an hour, not really feasible.
I was doing large urn crafting for prayer points and the township task but I'm out of ash now so...
Do I even need to focus on crafting? It seems that the only strictly good ranged gear it gives is the gauntlets/gloves. For the head I can take slayer gear, even if I lose 1% DR until I get legendary or w/e the top tier is. Body and Legs I grind out basically good enough ones from the very first slayer area which might be indicative of how they want me to progress. Boots I can just take Frostspark boots because while it has no bonuses, it has no maluses either.
I do have the second tier gauntlets, Revenant, available now so it's not like I'll be stuck on ♥♥♥♥ gauntlets either.

So should I just basically be focusing on fletching instead? I already have engulfing vortex longbow from AoD though, but I'll need some good crossbow it feels like, and at least I have enough ore to craft arrows.

And going back to wood, do people just use township to get supplies for those? I can get the wood boxes later since I'm just one overnight left to 120 woodcutting.

Btw, I'm getting around 1k wood of revenant and whatever the T1 one is called each per hour.
