there's a couple of items that let you deal barrier damage directly but it's better to use items which buff your summoning familiar's damage
So I guess I'll just go get a bunch of the level 1 summons since I can easily spam those and then clear the barrier dungeons and see what happens. It'll be a little easier I hope when I can start using some of these ancient gear.
Underwater city is the only one where you need some preparation.
Other instances are even simpler; basically, you can clear them easily with casual attempts.
I have only relic 3 and i cleared it in gear from gods dungeon (infernal claw, cloudburst staff and ancient xbow). And that relic is basicaly +15 crafted tablets, so you dont need any relic. Tortoise + Dragon on all 3 sets.
Turtle boosts barrier damage and Turtle/Dragon barrier burn synergy feels like cheesing.
Well, you can complete first 2(?) dungeons with just goblin, but later dungeon monsters has strong barrier regeneration so you will need some minimum damage and thus lvling up summoning. But i would start with Blind Ghost (eye Cave in combat area). Its pretty weak and you can get neckle and gem pretty fast, which will help you with barrier dungeons.
Also I've been neglecting cartography and archaeology so far, guess it's time to actually throw some level ups on them?
Cartography is good for active buffs, but it requires some time as certain buffs need pretty high skill, i would go for lvl35 for 17,14 that provides +2% auto eat treshold which might sometime helps you to safe idle (and like 40 amulets for FEZ). Theres also quite few lvl35 tiles with 1m gold rewards. And lvl35 unlocks pirate treasure which unlock tile with 5m gold and elite neckles of strenght, ranged and magic.
Archeology has some interesting items, i would go atleast for accuracy gem that need just lvl 12.
Its still just optional, cartography/archeology shouldnt be your unlocking priority so pick it only if you have no better choices.
