Wonder if it helps with thieving. (They keep stunning me. So why not stun them back, right?) Unless it's only useful in combat, IDK.
I would think because it's so hard to obtain one, it would only be logical for it to have a use at the intermediate and advanced stages of the game. Right?
I mean, if it's only good for easy monsters, it should be easier to get. The rarity being tweaked way down to match when first time players can use it. Otherwise, it's pointless.
If you own Throne of the Herald DLC, you can get a weapon slot item from Thieving that helps the skill, alternatively, weapons that have a Damage Reduction would help, not that many do early game, as most require extremely high levels & grinding to achieve
Note: Damage Reduction armor helps as well when Thieving, which reduces the targets max hit, but not only that but Damage Reduction Prayers not only reduce the max hit, but cost 0 Prayer Points as you're technically not in combat but still reduce the amount of max hit the target does to you, alternatively you can use health regen prayer unless you're on hardcore, if you don't have access to Damage Reduction Prayers yet

Thanks yet again for that detailed info on the DLCs. And no, I don't own either one of them yet.
@Truth_X_ile, nice tagline BTW.
