Don't like this update
Felt like you went back 10 versions of the game .. everything looks amateur now and sloppy.
No more playing for me, sad that you ruined the game

Was looking forward to even buying the dlc, but this new UI might be even worse then new steam

I think the mobile version should look same as this, cause it really does look like a mobile UI game now.

Did you check the farming skill?

Yes, the mobile version is the same. But I haven't studied it in detail. At first glance, everything works fine.

I haven't looked at the farming skill. I have it fully pumped up, so I haven't looked there at all for 3 months. What about it?

I thought that it looked more like a mobile game now, so this confirms it

I can understand not liking a UI change. Personally, I didn't even notice the difference, and I had ~1600 hours before this update. But complaining that it looks like a mobile game has to be the stupidest take I have ever seen in this situation. How the hell do you make an idle game NOT look like a mobile game?

It didn't look like a mobile game before this update, there's your reference.

It did to me.

There are a lot of idle games but for me and I'm assuming other fans of Melvor, UI makes or breaks an idle game considering that's what you're looking at 100% of the time. So I hope people can understand why some fans might be having a vocal response at the recent changes. I don't like them either personally.

I think spacing and intuitiveness have taken a major step back in skills like Smithing and Township. The new icon-focused menus feel a little shortsighted seeing as there's a lot more nuance than just "click big icon". And the entirety of the UI update seems to be worked for 100% zoom only and falls apart fast for anything zoomed in more than that

Seems more like a vocal minority, discussion of the changes in the discord channel and feedback channels are positive. I suppose if you want your input to actually be heard, you should probably go post there, as most developers try to stay away from the toxic cesspool that is steam forums where 90% of the posts are people farming jesters.

I'm not an OG person, but I'm at around 2000+ hours played on steam (not active, obviously, I don't play on mobile at all) but I barely notice some of the UI changes.

I'm not pro or against it, I feel for those who hate it.... I just wish there were some screenshot comparisons or something so I can follow along with what all the hubbub is about because I've barely noticed anything minus a few odd things here and there.

I had bigger issues with the fact that Melvor doesn't disable mods before startup on new patches and can brick saves. That's weirder to me than UI changes. (I only use two mods, one I didn't even realize I left it on). Luckily I back up saves every so often. While I enjoy playing hardcore, I don't want to lose a character to patch updates.

In fact, I don't even know if these have always existed, but I just discovered things on the bottom right, like seeing the synergies that work for a particular skill filtered and which items you have that boost a skill. I've always just manually looked stuff up until now. I don't even know if taht stuff is new or not, but it's helpful to me.

This is my boat exactly, I can't even tell what the changes were, and I have thousands of hours in the game, I even played it back when it was browser only.
